1. Our commitment to your privacy
Thank you for your interest in Effitech Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website or work with us, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. We review this policy regularly and update it when our services or the law change.
Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it clearly, for example with a checkbox on our contact form, and you can withdraw it at any time. Simply browsing this website does not mean you have agreed to every use of your data described here.

We handle personal data in line with the laws that apply to us, including:
- Bangladesh: the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 and related rules as they come into force, the Cyber Security Ordinance 2025 and other applicable laws;
- European Union / UK: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, where we offer services to, or monitor the behaviour of, people in the EU, EEA or UK;
- Other countries: local data protection laws where they apply to our work with clients in those countries.
If you are unsure how this policy applies to you, please contact us.

6. Third-party services
We share personal data only where needed for the purposes above, with:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, form handling, cloud storage and IT security providers. They may only use the data to provide their service to us and must keep it secure and confidential.
- Our group company, 24/7 Virtual Assistants, where needed to provide a service you have asked for.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and accountants.
- Authorities such as courts, regulators or law enforcement, when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights, our people or others.
- A buyer or successor if our business is reorganised, merged or sold, under appropriate confidentiality protections.
Some features of this website load content from third parties, which receive your IP address when your browser connects to them: Google Fonts (typefaces), Google Maps (the map on our Contact page), and public content delivery networks (cdnjs and unpkg) that serve icons and animation code. Their use of data is covered by their own privacy policies.
7. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as our group company or social media pages. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and get a copy;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Delete your data, where we no longer have a valid reason to keep it;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it;
- Object to or restrict certain uses, including direct marketing;
- Data portability: receive data you gave us in a commonly used format;
- Complain to a data protection authority. In Bangladesh this will be the authority established under the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you can contact your local supervisory authority.
To use any of these rights, email contact@effitechltd.com.bd. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days and will not charge you for reasonable requests.
9. Using our website
You can browse most of our website without giving us any personal details. Some features, such as the contact form or job applications, need certain information so we can respond to you. Fields we need are marked on the form, and we only ask for what is necessary.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls so only authorised people can see data, staff confidentiality agreements and training, and regular software updates. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our safeguards regularly.
If a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify the relevant authority and, where required, the people affected, within the time limits set by applicable law.
11. Cookies
Our website uses a small number of technologies that store information in your browser:
- Essential cookies set by WordPress and our security tools to keep the site working and secure.
- Display preference: when you switch between day and night mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name eft-theme. It never leaves your device and is not used to identify you.
- Form cookies that our contact form may use to prevent spam and submit your message.
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the website. These are only set if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working properly.
12. Data transfers to other countries
Our team is based in Bangladesh and we work with clients in other countries. Some of our service providers store or process data outside Bangladesh. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take steps to make sure it receives an appropriate level of protection, for example by using reputable providers with strong security and contractual commitments, and by following the transfer rules of the applicable data protection laws.
13. Data storage and retention
We store personal data with reputable hosting and cloud providers and in our own secure systems, with access limited to authorised staff. We keep data only for as long as we need it:
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client and contract records: for the length of the relationship and then as long as required by tax, accounting and other legal rules (normally up to 6 years).
- Job applications: up to 12 months after the recruitment process ends, unless you agree to us keeping them longer for future roles.
- Technical and security logs: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.
14. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. General
If any part of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the policy will still apply.
This policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh will have jurisdiction over any disputes. This does not remove any rights you have under the data protection laws of the country where you live.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when our services, website or the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will make this clear on the website or contact you directly where appropriate.
